Another Cardigan

OH yes, another cardigan for my boy. This time, a little bit smaller, little bit more of a chunky yarn. I tell you I am obsessed with baby knits. It is SO satisfying to be done with something in a week as opposed to a month or more. Im not sure how Little Guy feels about it though. He kind of gave the horse eye when I showed it to him...like it doesnt light up, I cant eat it..what's the point.

But, I discovered something new in this process. Something Im sure others reading this know about..but I just discovered it. See when you knit baby clothes, you need to sew in something to reinforce the snaps so the litttle darling doesnt chew them off and choke. I hate this part. I find hand sewing snaps to be..well.. a big PITA. But no more my friends. Today, at JoAnns, a very nice lady showed me this strip of fabric with the snaps already sewn in. All I have to do is sew the strip of fabric into the sweater and voila--it is done. Happy Happy Dance for that one.

Here is the little guy's teddy modeling the sweater.

Baby, um Toddler Cardigan

I Love knitting baby stuff. It comes together so quickly. I decided to make my 1 year old a light summer sweater. The pattern had sizes instead of measurements so....I believe he will be wearing this sweater next summer instead.

Lil Bud Vase

So sweet. I love the colors. Wheel thrown white clay.

Texture Texture Texture

Wheel thrown bowl with white clay. I make so many of these that it gets kind of boring. I decided a funky texture was in order. I pressed an onion bag into the wet clay (you know the mesh kind a bunch of onions comes in). I was very happy with the result. It looks like snakeskin.

Snapdragon

Wheel Thrown white clay with "SnapDragon" glaze. The perfect size for some tulips.

Where are my knitting needles?

I misplace my knitting needles all the time. It is very annoying. This piece seemed like the perfect size to store them. It is red clay, handbuilt with coils. I originally glazed it "milk chocolate" and I HATED it. Picture a big pile of brown coils. It looked like something a dog left in the yard. So I reglazed with turquoise and I am much happier with the color.
